Jones had been slated to attend the American Planning Association conference in New Orleans for a week's worth of training in April, but has canceled those plans. He said it would be inappropriate for him to travel on the dime of Bethlehem Tp taxpayers when he knows he is leaving.
Jones is a graduate of both The University of Pittsburgh and Suffolk University,where he attained a Master's degree in Public Administration. Before coming to the Lehigh Valley, he was a planner in New England.

Nate Jones is a quality guy. Instead of wondering about his motives, I would suggest that a parallel move by upper management speaks volumes about the staff morale and direction of Bethlehem Township.

Depends on who you assist. The Planner in Lower Mac has an excellent reputation, which is why Nate stated he regarded it a professional opportunity.
I believe his stock is only going to go up. This is a shrewd move, he is already well regarded. He has the makings or a big player, regionally. Genuine, smart and honest, rare traits in government.
