Sponsors include the Workforce Board of the Lehigh Valley and ABE Airport.

This is my annual chance to ruin Bruce Haines' profit margin at the Hotel Bethlehem, where he is a managing partner. .

The program portion, which includes McClure’s speech, will begin at 8:30.

McClure began his first term as County Executive this year after being sworn into office on January 2nd.

Ben Hedrick, who complained about a previous meet 'n greet charging $10, is probably ecstatic to see what an impact he has had already!

Will McClure address the many concerns people have with what is going on in the county? Given the Controller controversy and concern s over budget changes what does the future hold for residents.

Bernie, if the result of our badinage is people listening to both sides, holding all elected officials accountable, and more active participation in good government then YES, I am ecstatic. Your misspelling my name, however, not so much.

Will this be when another county executive says his most valued asset our the employees? Yet continue to hire from the outside to provide more instability....

He is cleaning up the mess Brown left. Many unfilled positions and messed up projects.

Ben, I have corrected the typo.

Wonder what would happen if most of the county employees showed up ? Nothing has changed to date as promised by Mr. McClure. Hell, most division head I'm told have yet to meet the new administration ( sounds familiar). Lets get moving sir as promised. Hopefully you will address this and the other matters concerning the staff on Friday.

? Executive brings Reibman back as an adviser and we now see the clowns he surrounded himself with while in office ( here and in Allentown ). May I request sir that you distance yourself from him ASAP before you get caught him in shading dealings or have questionable people working for you as well. Just some friendly advise.

Once an administration ruins morale, as Brown did, there are about 10-15% who will remain bitter no matter what. He has been in office for two months and you expect that four years of bad government be erased.

And this is nofriendly advice. You are a partisan R and probably not even a county employee.

Wrong on your assumptions again. Voted for McClure and a long time employee. I remember the ghost of Glenn and his bs and taking from the employees after getting elected twice. Then I see this admin going to him for advise. Bad chemistry / likely bad advise , especially when the GR admin had the criminal element in it ( Solomon and later Hickey ring a bell)? Be nice to address the employees after sworn in , but nothing but silence since elected. Many of the division heads have yet to meet the administration ( not a good sign) Don't trust any politician who keeps silent from the masses and this is what we are seeing currently. More political bs just to get elected we( the employees) are afraid. Hope he shows us wrong. Seyfried, Stoffa and Brackbill met with the division /department heads shortly after being sworn in. Brown and Reibman did not . So far, McClure has not as well and has been silent. He has been heard or seen from him since election night regarding the staff of the county. Many of us longer term employees fear the writing is on the wall again. Hope we are wrong.

anon 2:18, You can pick and chose problems with every county executive. Lord knows they all had some issues. That being said, I am not a county employee but if you are that miserable you should leave. You are probably one of the gloomy, pity me faces the public has to deal with.

The county would be better off if you took all you anger and just left.

2:18is almost certainly NOT a county employee, but a GOP political hack who is making implications of corruption already.

WOW, someone has a real hard on for Glenn Reibman. Must have been spanked while he was in office. Why must anyone kneel to a division head? You have job security, great benefits and a pension for life. You had lifetime healthcare but one of your hero's, Brackbill took it away.

Buy a clue!

Read a post about Brown lowering the morale of the employees. I agree he didn't help matters, but that it began like the other previous poster stated about Mr. Reibman. I have been told by several longer term employees that I work with that he started the downturn of the morale by cutting salaries, pensions, healthcare and layoffs. ( many seem to forget that). I have been with the county for a while and the issues started back with his admin. Its only gotten worse since then. Maybe a more open executive office will start to turn those issues around. One can only hope.

How can we get the New York Casino bus people who get to the Casino early to sign up. This will insure a good profit for the hotel.

anon 9:13,you must be a very, very sad person. So much hate so little time. I doubt you are a county employee. You are probably an operative gas lighting this site. Some of the things you mentioned never happened, so you should research better.
