EMINEM Freestyle Rap - The Calm Before the Storm

Intro

This is the calm before the storm right here.

Wait, how was I gonna start this off? I forgot. ...

Oh yeah.

Verse

That's an awfully hot coffee pot,

Should I drop it on Donald Trump? Prob'ly not,

But that's all I got 'til I come up with a solid plot.

Got a plan and now I gotta hatch it,

Like a damn Apache with a tomahawk,

I'm a walk inside a mosque on Ramadan,

And say a prayer that every time Melania talks,

She gets a mou— ah, I'm a stop.

But we better give Obama props,

'Cause what we got in office now's a kamikaze,

That'll prob'ly cause a nuclear holocaust,

And while the drama pops,

And he waits for s--- to quiet down, he'll just gas his plane up

And fly around 'til the bombing stops.

Intensities heightened, tensions are risin',

Trump, when it comes to givin' a s---, you're stingy as I am,

Except when it comes to having the balls to go against me, you hide 'em,

'Cause you don't got the f---ing nuts, like an empty asylum,

Racism's the only thing he's fantastic for,

'Cause that's how he gets his f---ing rocks off and he's orange,

Yeah, sick tan,

That's why he wants us to disband,

'Cause he can not withstand,

The fact we're not afraid of Trump,

F--- walkin' on egg shells, I came to stomp,

That's why he keeps screamin', "Drain the swamp!",

'Cause he's in quicksand.

It's like we take a step forwards, then backwards,

But this is his form of distraction,

Plus, he gets an enormous reaction,

When he attacks the NFL, so we focus on that,

Instead of talking Puerto Rico or gun reform for Nevada,

All these horrible tragedies and he's bored and would rather,

Cause a Twitter storm with the Packers.

Then says he wants to lower our taxes,

Then who's gonna pay for his extravagant trips,

Back and forth with his fam to his golf resorts and his mansions?

Same s--- that he tormented Hillary for and he slandered,

Then does it more,

From his endorsement of Bannon,

Support for the Klansmen,

Tiki torches in hand for the soldier that's black,

And comes home from Iraq,

And is still told to go back to Africa,

Fork and a dagger in this racist 94-year-old grandpa,

Who keeps ignoring our past historical, deplorable factors,

Now if you're a black athlete, you're a spoiled little brat for,

Trying to use your platform or your stature,

To try to give those a voice who don't have one,

He says, "You're spittin' in the face of vets who fought for us you bastards,"

Unless you're a POW who's tortured and battered,

'Cause to him, you're zeros,

'Cause he don't like his war heroes captured.

That's not disrespecting the military.

F--- that! This is for Colin, ball up a fist,

And keep that s--- balled like Donald the b----,

"He's gonna get rid of all immigrants!"

"He's gonna build that thing up taller than this!"

Well, if he does build it, I hope it's rock solid with bricks,

'Cause like him in politics, I'm using all of his tricks,

'Cause I'm throwin' that piece of s--- against the wall 'til it sticks,

And any fan of mine who's a supporter of his,

I'm drawing in the sand a line, you're either for or against,

And if you can't decide who you like more and you're split,

On who you should stand beside, I'll do it for you with this: F--- you.

End

The rest of America stand up,

We love our military, and we love our country,

But we f---ing hate Trump.

This country s youth is going to be so confused due to libtard media and what they think is important. Responsible parents must have sit down at dinner with their young ones and educate them to this issue before they commit themselfs to the tons of nonproductive acts this nunckhead is projecting . We FAIL to make desicive actions -- look at the issue of a stock that makes an AR-15 fire in a automatic mode . There should be No issue ! NO ! I say that ,an NRA Life Member over 40 years with Just over50 years of competitive and recreational shooting . Just like this rapper - In your face ,if I half to : Nobody needs this devise ,no real shooter would have one ,only show boats that can't get a real score. Yes I said that! Same with rapper , knucklehead! We are in trouble ,so get ready, love your kids and tell them about world events .

Peter, I'd suggest that you sit down and listen to Eminem some time. Regardless of his or your political leanings, he is a remarkable poet.

Comrade trump had some help with the election.
even with that help he still managed to lose the popular vote.

as to donnie two scoops and his racist actions he earned those stripes long before he ran for office.

It is easy to take a line or even a paragraph from an artist and use it to smear him, as you have done. That particular verse was written in Eminem's early days, and he was going after a black ex-girlfriend. He called it "foolishness" himself. It is undeniably racist. Or is it? I get mixed messages from reading it. An artist should have plenty of rim to experiment.

His piece on Trump is powerful. It is earthy, written from the perspective of the very people Trump claimed he is rescuing, points out the hypocrisy of nearly all authority and has a certain sound without any music. It is art.

But that early piece was terrible and Eminem took a beating for it.

I am not an Eminem fan, nor is rap my form of "poetry", but is this really any different than the poet with "cat scratch fever"? If memory serves, he referred to Obama as a "Mongrel" (echos of a famous filmed Klan scene from the anti-integration days), suggested Obama "suck on my machine gun," and that Obama and Clinton should be "hung"? Crudeness, and strong feelings, are not unique to any one vantage point.

Anonymous said...

Is it really any different?

Well, we'll have to wait and see if Eminem gets vilified by the NYT, WAPO, HuffPost etc., gets investigated by the Secret Service, and ultimately ends up apologizing.

Do you think that's what ought to happen?

(We already know the first is not happening. We're being told by a fawning Washington Post that his message is "resonating".)

I see racism abound through his portrayal of his America's song. If it were up to BLM, the new Black Panthers, ANTIFA and the highly paid thugs of the NFL, this would be their National Anthem they would proudly salute the flag with their right fists clinched. Only in the Great USA can you get this behind the veil of freedom of speech.

Those thoughts and words are quite divisive. IMHO. It is not wise to base opinions or formulate policy based on hyperbole and/or emotion. It certainly does not help to unite us as a nation. We should and need to stop pointing the finger at others and ask ourselves, do we, as individuals, help to unite or help to divide?

Bernie O'Hare said...

Jeff, I'm not quite there, but Trump is the Divider in Chief himself.

sezary said...

Trump is not the only one to blame for division and lack of civility. Some of the commenters on this blog as well as yourself at times Bernie, are also guilty. It would be folly to believe that I, at times, have not been divisive as well.

Bernie O'Hare said...

But you, I and Eminem are not the President of the United States. Speaking for myself, my role necessarily means that I will sometimes be divisive. But the presidency demands someone who tries to bring people together, not drive them apart. Trump drives people apart. It is very damaging to this nation and to democracy itself.

Anonymous said...

I like eminem, but this freestyle was pretty weak

sezary said...

Sorry, but how one deals with and/or spins, reports, edits and or reacts to what our President says or does, is what divides or unites us. We see what we choose to see and perceive what we want to perceive. That is one of the reason's I believe that we should, and need, to stop pointing the finger at others and instead ask ourselves, do we, as individuals, help to unite or help to divide? I'm talking more about the mindset of those who comment on this and other forums, and those who pontificate, especially publicly. Your blog is your blog and there is a certain expectation regarding your postings. The Eminem comments divide and do not paint an accurate picture of the entire scenario. You are intelligent enough to know that. You chose to post it because you agree with the sentiment. There is no reason to post such except to "stir the pot". That is more divisive than unifying. IMHO. I would never want to be President. I am much too fragile for all that position would encompass.

Bernie O'Hare said...

Sorry, but you are in no position to know how I decide what I want to publish. If I were merely interested in red meat, this would be a much different blog. My publishing decisions are selfless and selfish. In the first catgory, those are stories that I think the public needs to know. In the second category are stories that appeal to me. I linked to Eminem out of sheer appreciation of his artistry. You can scroll past it if it offends your "fragile" sensibilities. Also, my job is to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable. Sometimes that causes controversy. Eminem and other artists establish their challenge preconceived notions and stereotypes. Sometimes they fail. Less frequently they succeed. I was moved by Eminem. Yes, I do agree with it too.

What I find ironic about your homily is that you slam me and others for expressing views, but seem to miss the fact that your own preaching is divisive. In your world, no one could say anything bc it might be considered divisive. That's nonsense.

The one person who does have an obligation to try to unite us, however, is the president. He should be a symbol that children can admire and emulate. He is a disgrace, not just to his office, but to basic decency. And as I said before, he is endangering our democracy.

A former US Marine told me this:
"Finally listened to Eminem's "dis track" and my biggest take away is this; props to Em for recognizing the fact that slandering an actual no shit Vietnam POW is a bigger act of disrespect to our troops/armed services/country than someone taking a knee. Which btw, is a sign of respect us military folks give to fallen brethren."

MR. FOX -President Trump was elected to STOP THE CYCLE of nonsense -in my humble opinion .Now lots of people on this blog are more of anything and everything than me. I admit this into evidence. THE PRESIDENT is there to make corrections from an administration that was perhaps installed to bring this present government to its knees like the football players. Roll over, kind of thing no direction and the NFL players are so dumb that they can not evan tell you what they are protesting so the other stupid people follow in regional issues, and away we go.The SLAVES were held by the BRITS had been captured AND re- enslaved by the BRITS in the Harbour when Francis Scott Key wrote a poem that got applied the a BRIT drinking song. Thus our National Anthem. They can all screw themselves , or shine shoes like i do . You cant fix stupid.

"The SLAVES were held by the BRITS had been captured AND re- enslaved by the BRITS in the Harbour when Francis Scott Key wrote a poem"

try

"According to British historian Robin Blackburn, the words "the hireling and slave" allude to the thousands of ex-slaves in the British ranks organised as the Corps of Colonial Marines, who had been liberated by the British and demanded to be placed in the battle line "where they might expect to meet their former masters."[7] Nevertheless, Professor Mark Clague, a professor of musicology at the University of Michigan, argues that the "middle two verses of Key's lyric vilify the British enemy in the War of 1812" and "in no way glorifies or celebrates slavery."[8] Clague writes that "For Key ... the British mercenaries were scoundrels and the Colonial Marines were traitors who threatened to spark a national insurrection."

so the traitors(escaped slaves)were a problem because they might start a revolt to free people from slavery.
which Key considered bad or ex slaves demanded to fight their masters which Key considered bad.
the British kept their word and freed those colonial marines who fought for them.

Peter Cochran said...

Ya but how did Key know all this from accross The harbor of Baltimore? Your a Monday morning football expert! I signed my name.

https://theintercept.com/2016/08/28/colin-kaepernick-is-righter-than-you-know-the-national-anthem-is-a-celebration-of-slavery/

"And one of the key tactics behind the British military’s success was its active recruitment of American slaves. As a detailed 2014 article in Harper’s explains, the orders given to the Royal Navy’s Admiral Sir George Cockburn read:

Let the landings you make be more for the protection of the desertion of the Black Population than with a view to any other advantage. … The great point to be attained is the cordial Support of the Black population. With them properly armed & backed with 20,000 British Troops, Mr. Madison will be hurled from his throne.

Whole families found their way to the ships of the British, who accepted everyone and pledged no one would be given back to their “owners.” Adult men were trained to create a regiment called the Colonial Marines, who participated in many of the most important battles, including the August 1814 raid on Washington."

"After the U.S. and the British signed a peace treaty at the end of 1814, the U.S. government demanded the return of American “property,” which by that point numbered about 6,000 people. The British refused. Most of the 6,000 eventually settled in Canada"

so Key would have to been pretty clueless to not know of the British raising troops by offering freedom to slaves.

added bonus

"By 1833, Key was a district attorney for Washington, D.C. As described in a book called Snowstorm in August by former Washington Post reporter Jefferson Morley, the police were notorious thieves, frequently stealing free blacks’ possessions with impunity. One night, one of the constables tried to attack a woman who escaped and ran away — until she fell off a bridge across the Potomac and drowned.

“There is neither mercy nor justice for colored people in this district,” an abolitionist paper wrote. “No fuss or stir was made about it. She was got out of the river, and was buried, and there the matter ended.”

Key was furious and indicted the newspaper for intending “to injure, oppress, aggrieve & vilify the good name, fame, credit & reputation of the Magistrates & constables of Washington County.”

so yep Key really cared about ALL people

Peter j Cochran said...

8:33 I don't disagree but if the asteroid that will travel 24,000 inside between the Earth and moon hit this earth a lot of people will be on servival mode. Yes he didn't know but the Brits would take anything to their advantage -in domestic manpower. The brits USED the Black folks in effect they were were Not in anyway realistically giving them equal rights or citizenship to British equality. The Brits at the time as they used American Indians earlier, thus Sullivan's March out of Easton 1878 .

Key would or should have known of the British tactic of recruiting slaves.
the Brit's used their advantages whenever possible.
those slaves were fighting for their freedom.
blaming the British does not change what happened.
or Key's lyrics on the subject.

Peter j.Cochran said...

9:19 Amon that's what you say! However the loam was not applied to National Anthem by Key and Key was not in the room .

Peter j.Cochran said...

The slaves would have gone where the wind was blowing - they weren't stupid , they knew something ELSE would happen .
God was blessing them but they ended back in a pile anyway after the Brit issues of 1812 . They were the sacrificle individual s that would be the backbone of what ended up as slaves . So - now what? One of my most revired persons I know is a Marine Corps . Lieutenant General now just resantly retired. He defended this country and took care of his subordinates ,he has been to our wars and still takes care of his mother . He is an and has been an 'Black ' an Afro -American' shit he would tell you he's Green to blend into the jungle ! Wonderful man BUT if things had not happened in our history here - like it or not / this man would never had advanced , he would be shoveled crap in Africa and had nothing and probably would be a no body . America is the land of of opportunity.

Anonymous said...

"this man would never had advanced , he would be shoveled crap in Africa"

You are nutz, So slavery in America was great because it helped a descendant of slaves to become a soldier and not the descendent of free men in? Africa? You are a real whack job. Time to go to bed! The most crazy stupid thing I have read!

Peter j. Cochran said...

I'm not nuz ! What you fail to see before you at 'this hour' is in the Central African Republic is about to have civil war . They will kill more of themselfs than in Chicago wher death toll is now about 700 for this year . So - your Sir or Madam are the one behind curve here. I suggest you stay on Lehigh Valley. Live that is your speed apparently.

Anonymous said...

You still preach that being a slave in America was better than a free man in Africa. What nonsense. You should see a mental health professional.

Peter j.Cochran said...

I say Anon11:27- for your record- that the descendants are better off here than in Africa,Evan presently. i strongly earg you to check in with a European news agency i.e.Farnce 24 you can get on your bottom box if your cable is shut off. They cut heads off over after there today, there is almost no medical care most places or clean water. Overpopulation and lack of agricultural know how. Get a shingle out and see how much you can make telling people they need psychological help. I have more Black folks on my walls and in picture frames that I admire than probably you . I have served along side some very courageous individuals I admire and they inspire and set examples of proper framework in younger. Brains. Not this crap spun by the football elements. I've been on African soil and served as a Platoon leader in essentially an all Black unit just like Back Jack Pursing- I never said" being a slave in America was better than a free man in Africa" that is debatable Evan if those conditions accurately were possible. Good day.

sezary said...

Bernie, I'm not "slamming" you. You must be missing my point. I am expressing my opinion and what I believe generally. A blog is a blog. The Press (not specifically the Bethlehem Press) is the Press. The two are not the same. One cannot be both without causing confusion, misinformation and division. Generally, not specifically. You are correct when you state, "Sorry, but you are in no position to know how I decide what I want to publish." No one is in such a position except you. Readers do not know where the line between fact and opinion is unless those lines are kept separate. That is why the mingling and/or blurring of facts and opinions do help to create confusion, misinformation and division.

"Also, my job is to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable"
We should all comfort the afflicted. I equate "afflicting the comfortable" with making the status quo uncomfortable. That equates to stirring the pot a little sometimes.

Mr. Trump was indeed elected, in part, to shake things up and to " STOP THE CYCLE of nonsense" as Mr. Cochran says. He is not used to working in the political framework and the politicians are not used to working within the framework Mr. Trump has been accustomed to. This has made for some fireworks in Washington. However, Mr. Trump has not stopped the cycle of nonsense, he contributes to it instead of taking the higher road. He should keep his hand off his Twitter button. IMHO

Bernie O'Hare said...

Without question, Trump's message resonated with many who have been ignored by both major problems. But I am really getting tired of the excuses for Trump's outrageous behavior and his willingness to drive even more wedges between people.he is a banana republic dictator, not a president, who has actually made us look petty and ugly.

And i would 'Justify ' this by telling myself they waist my money in Washington, D.C. How do you feel. But The whole island is pitted with pot holes that appear in the driving lane with no warnings that would swallow you FORD ESCAPE,- and nobody does anything on their best day after about noon that's just the way it is in that area of which i have been too several times. We get SNAP or a nice name for food stamps and have a SUBURBAN. Horseshit i've seen it. MAKE PEOPLE RESPONSIBLE TO PAY THEIR OWN BILLS. sezary said...

Mr. Cochran, I don't know why you seem to be ranting at me. We get about $150 month in SNAP benefits. Our car is a 2006 Hyundai, which was given to us. During the summer we hang our clothes out so we keep dryer usage to a minimum and keep it as dark as possible. This is not to mention the ways we try to save water. We have no central air and we did not even bring our window unit A/C up and use it this year. My youngest son just returned to US soil after serving the past year in South Korea. Whew. Given the two choices in the 2016 Presidential election I voted for Donald Trump. Given those choices, it was not really a difficult decision. Mr. Trump was not my first choice. He did become, to me anyway, the only sensible choice between the two remaining candidates. I do not believe that blindly following anyone is positive or practical. We may have more in common than we do have differences.

"...Trump is destroying us..look what he is doing to puerto rico "
Mr. Trump is not destroying us. We are destroying ourselves from within. Mr. Trump is not "doing" anything "to" Puerto Rico. You should widen your news sources.

Peter j. Cochran said...
