Rick Daugherty Looks Forward to "Gentlemen's" Campaign

I saw LV Congressional candidate Rick Daugherty both Saturday and Sunday this weekend. He attended both the Steelworkers' parade as well as the dedication of a historic marker in honor of a Bethlehem Steel worker who was shot during a 1910 riot.

Daugherty knows I support his opponent, incumbent Charlie Dent. But he still sought me out to tell me he hopes to wage a positive gentleman's campaign with Dent.

Charlie Dent is an affable, soft-spoken person. He's also someone you don't want to face in an election. But he's very low key this election cycle, so Daugherty might get his wish.

Rick, you will lose. Please don't take it personally and thanks for carrying the colors in a thnakless race.

Charlie is a great guy and people like him. His eventual downfall will be his being forced to move more and more to the extreme teabagger right.

Eventually he will be beat because his District just isn't that crazy.

It was a mistake to nominate Rick Daugherty instead of Jackson Eaton.

Jackson Eaton used to work for Dent, you think there would have been a true opponent there?

Rick won the nomination because folks are sick of bought and paid for candidates. Eaton waltzed in with his Daddy's money and his ties with Dent hoping for an easy in. There are a lot of folks in the new 15th that don't know either candidate outside of the LV. Congress Approval is so low that everyone goes.
