Lafayette's Crew on the Lehigh

Every Autumn and Spring, Lafayette students descend from College Hill to Lehigh River, twice a day, to do some sculling. At one time, they ran there and back, but I think they drive to and from practice these days. They had a good afternoon yesterday.

For years I've enjoyed the sight of the rowers on the river. The reminder of the college and the river and the young adults help us to appreciate all this beautiful area has to offer. Thanks for a cool post.

Bernard O'hare's blog is filled with off beat postings such as this which are a lovely break from the more serious fare. Bernard I salute you!

Hello, Lafayette crew member here. I just wanted to clarify something: a lot of us still continue to run down to the water (especially novices), but when it starts getting cold and dark in the evening, we catch rides back up the hill whenever possible. Great picture!
