Mike Schware's First Vote

It's one helluva' way to start out in government. Having just been appointed to Lehigh County's Board of Commissioners, Mike Schware's first real vote was on whether to over-ride a Don Cunningham veto on an increasingly controversial reassessment.

"Lock the door so he doesn't get out," wisecracked veteran Percy Dougherty.

Poor Schware....no comments yet and 44 in the other LC thread.

Seems like a good guy. I hope he does well.

Just didn't want Mr. Schware to feel un-commented on.

According to WFMZ:

Lehigh County Commissioners voted to override the veto by County Executive Don Cunningham on the tax reassessment process.

The veto was overridden Wednesday night by a 8-1 vote.

Commissioner Thomas Creighton stood alone in voting against the reassessment.
