Regular readers know I am a constant defender of both Ron Angle and John Stoffa. I personally admire and respect them both. For all their flaws, they both work their asses off, are bright, try to do what's best for the County and usually cooperate with each other.But even I must agree with an Express Times Turkey award "To Northampton County Council President Ron Angle, whose rantings and “piece of crap” description of County Executive John Stoffa’s proposed budget set a new low for council proceedings. Angle’s reaction drove Stoffa out of the room in the middle of a council meeting Thursday. Agree or disagree with Angle’s take on the budget, this is no way to run a public meeting. Also, a big, meaty drumstick to Stoffa, whose budget plan sidestepped the tough question of how to balance the budget — by tax increase, spending cuts, an infusion of millions in surplus, or some combination thereof — leaving the heavy lifting for the council."
The Morning Call's Bill White, who was there, has pretty much the same reaction. The ET is a little tougher on Angle while White reserves his sharpest thorns for Stoffa.
All I can say is thanks a lot, guys. I'm out here in the wild blogosphere and have a tough enough time defending both of you from disinformation and outright lies. Can't you go to a marriage counselor or something?
John, next time Angle tells you your budget is a piece of crap, just say, "I'm sure I'll lose lots of sleep tonight next to my hot girlfriend."
Ron, next time Stoffa pisses you off, just say, "I'm sure I'll lose lots of sleep tonight next to my hot goat."

Does Bill White still work in journalism? Who does he write for these days? Does he have health benefits?
While Stoffa's term limit is set by law, Angle's stay in council is only limited by the votes he receives from Slate Belt residents. Pity, there should be term limits for council members as well.
There is no term limit for NC Execs.

We read that NYT article thanks to one of your fellow bloggers. We would never have seen it otherwise. Shocking behavior and the salaries and bonuses while so many Call reporters lost their jobs. Loyal dedicated journalists that often gave up family time to cover a breaking news event, now, out of work.
Angle and Stoffa "bright", those two are two of the dumbest idiots in government. I will say Angle probably has an edge over Stoffa in smarts but "bright" is not a word for either of these turds.
Angle regularly did this through out his life and during Riemann's tenure and O'Hare cheered him on. The papers were no better. Wwhen you tell a maniac he is a folk hero to achieve your ends, don't get all righteous if the fool winds up believing you. Angle has always been a self-centered sociopath demagogue who loves any who agree with him and will do anything to those who don't. He has no scruples and no place in public office.
Stoffa is just a fairly well meaning bungling egoist. He has always been full of himself, especially with the ladies, ask around. He is in over his head and has been since day one.
The papers and Angle got him elected and he has performed as those who worked with him knew he would a solid "C-". He couldn't lead a sheep dog out of the middle of a football field. If you really hated Reibman that much, fine but Bob Nyce would have at least known how to perform as a leader.
Sadly the residents of Northampton County are left with "Dumb and Dumber" to run the County. All we can hope is at least there is something left to salvage after these two clowns are gone.

Big meeting coming up for TMC peeps at Symphony Hall, with once-in-a-while publisher TimmAAAAAAHHH Ryan and other Tribune dickheads.
Word is that the whole finance dept is gone by the end of the year in another round of consolidation. Not sure how many work there, but have to wonder if ManCave is even aware of the prospect of more good jobs on the way out.
Sam Zell is supposedly a chain smoker. Too bad those cigarettes didn't do the job they have on so many people who DIDN'T deserve it.
I'm no Sam Zell fan, but it's wrong to wish death on any other person.
That guy destroyed people's investments, their careers, families have literally lost everything, on a bet with borrowed money, an unprecedented debt put on the backs of thousands with no say. The havoc and pain he caused is a subject of jokes among him and his friends, who await even more bonuses atop the millions already allowed by the corrupt judge overseeing the bankruptcy.
This is a guy who said employees are just assests, and "I have no attachments to assets, I have attachments to motorcycles".
He is a dirty bastard destroyer and the fate I suggested, one that would come at his own doing I might add, certainly would not be unjust.

Angle and Stoffa are the perfect couple. They even look like the picture.
Thursday night County Council meeting was government at its worst with Mr. Angle! EVERY meeting I have attended he slurs, humiliates, bullies and is the worst specimen of a politician. Northampton County has elected a council that will NEVER work together as long as Ron Angle is their president. Whether you are democrat or republican, his demeanor of slamming democratic politicians or President Obama at every meeting is uncalled for and a disgrace to the rest of council. WAKE UP residents of Northampton County and get him off of council!
Just remember that the clowns you elected to County Council made Angle the president clown. They are either complicit in his actions or are too stupid to understand. Either way they are as much a mistake as Herr Angle.
